University of Georgia Middle School Band Festival

The Whitewater Middle School Symphonic Band was selected to play for the 10th annual University of Georgia Middle School Band Festival.  The band was selected after submitting a tape and application.  One of two featured bands, the Symphonic Band played for over 900 students who were participating the honor bands that weekend. The performance was a great success with the band playing enthusiasm and feeling.   The program featured the following:

 1999 Gmea Annual Inservice Conference



The Whitewater Symphonic Band was selected to play for the 1999 Georgia Music Educators Annual In-Service Conference. A total of 35 audiotapes were submitted for consideration and Whitewater was one of 2 middle schools and 3 high schools selected. The annual conference held in Savannah, Georgia featured the band playing a wide range of compositions. Their program include:
